Got 2 problems

Unit is RK-21 16hp vanguard / TS2021 5.5@3000 5.5 tip 12v hotwater

Problem #1

Replaced the unloader. K 7.2 worked fine. Now it seems to take a long time to come off of bypass. If I take off the tip, purge the system , put tip back on it works right a way. Otherwise It just wont come out of bypass. This seems to happen when using hot water, which is always. Every thing seems to be set correctly. Also I just resently descaled system. Any suggestions or help.

Problem # 2

When machine pressures up there is a instantanous lag in RPM when the pump loads pressure. Then it goes to full RPM. This never did it before. Resent oil change, new air filter , new plugs.
Is the motor just wearing out? Has about 1500 hrs on machine.

Sometime it makes you go hhhhhhhmmmmmmmm.

Thanks for the help.

just because

it's a new unloader, dose'nt mean that it works.
First off i would undo what i did or at least try another unloader.
If the unloader is not working under pressure correctly it can cause the engine to bog down.
Maybe a left over piece of scale got in the new unloader?
Did you run some soap threw the coil after you cleaned it?
You should have.

Michael,

Sorry I missed your post yesterday!
Lets tackle the unloader first. Typically when using a K-7 unloader on a Hot HP Washer you can NOT go by the K-7 chart for flows.

You should look on your old K-7 you will find (I suspect) different orfice sizes.
Try a #1 on your bypass. (If my memory serves me)

Feel free to call me.
