Alot of folks are setting up permanent campers around the lakes here and building decks on them etc. I see the market for the decks and also cleaning the aluminum sided campers but what concerns me is the correct chemical that want damage all that sporty stripes and lettering on the side of the campers any help or info appreciated

The problem witht he stripes is not the chemicals on the stripes. It is the sun on the stripes. You can use a regular fleet washing soap on the camper and it will clean it fine. They will usually want a spray on wax to go on the camper too. If it was me and what I do on the rare occasion that I do a trailer I go to Autozone and get a bottle of spray wash and wax and thin it a little and brush it on and rinse it off. It is designed for this sort of thing after all.

Just a guy driving around trying to make a living washing trucks, Wouldn't know a deck if it bit me in the hind quarters,

I have, and had decent, but not great results. Truck vans are different from trailers that are parked. They have road grime etc. getting on them vs. dust and rainwater runoff. I did not do it exactly as prescribed because of the extra steps involved though and that could have had an effect on the quality of the job.

We usually just use a car wash type soap and a brush in those situations. Sometimes a light degreaser may be used to help get the black streaks off that you usually will encounter.

Am currently using a wash and wax on some brand new 53' chip vans. Some every week, some every two weeks. They usually are in good shape when we get to them. Downstream, brush, rinse. Approx. .35 cents @ van....Rob
