Hondas and their Mufflers

I thought it was just my machine and just read an old post of yours. I have one unit that has a 13 HP Honda. The casing that shields the muffler comes off all the time. It has vibrated loose and rattles. I've even had the muffler literally fall-off... I've adjusted the idle a number of times. I've even tried going without the gasket thinking metaql to metal would help. Other than that I have to tighten it every couple of days...Blake Any suggestions????

You could take it to a machine shop if the muffler keeps falling off. They can install studs that will not keep comming loose.

Honda has issued a warranty bulletin, on ALL 13 HP Honda engines Retrofit exhaust studs at no charge regardless of age of engine.

Check with your local Honda Dealer for details, or contact me for a copy of bulletin.

We have seen a lot of broken exhaust manifold studs on the 13 HP Honda, Honda has repaired all at no charge!
Even replacing the head when necessary.
