Hello,

Yesterday my pressure switch went bad causing the burner to over heat burst the hose. Can hoses be repaired or should I pitch it?
thanks, :>:

I would toss it. Make sure you get 50 footers, so when you get a blow out you wont waste as much hose

Unfortunately when a hose over heats is is always recommended to throw it away and get a new one. The reason is, the excessive heat dammages the integrity of the hose and there is a big saftey risk to the end user if it is repaired.

You should carry repair ends on the truck/van. I have had better luck using the reusable ends, doing my own repair, than having ends replaced at the Parts house. Carry a hacksaw and some way to hold the hose while you are cutting the hose. I use a Sawsall, one person holds the hose and the other person runs the saw. Spit on the hose or dip it in water or squirt som WD 40 on the end. Screw the hose repair end on the hose. Usually works best to cut about a foot of hose off. I carry 2 ends without and 2 ends with a swivel.
