I've never used one but there are field repair kits for hoses. If you're not going to invest in a new hose and other than the burn, yours is in good condition, that might be the way to go. I know from previous posts alot of people keep one of these kits on the truck for such incidents. Just contact a pressure washer supplier or try a local store that sells/stocks hydraulic hose and fittings. Let me know how it works out.
<b><font color=green>Cody's right they do make kits and its good to have 1 or 2 in the tool box but it would be best to take it to a farm supply store and have them to press a fitting in it,,its more safer.</b></f>.
Those repair kits are pretty safe, I've been using them for years and I've only had one blow off & it was my fault. I put a 3kpsi on a 4kpsi hose. The only bummer to these thinse is that they are supposed to be reusable but for me only like one in three are. The often break twist off on their second attempt of application.
Just fo the record.
For field hose repair I keep a circular saw with metal cutting blade to cut the hose (there a bitch to cut otherwise). & a large rachet w/proper socket for attaching the splice. (there tough to run down too.)
<b><font color="FF00FF">Cody,I agree with you fully,I have used them for awhile before but still the pressed on is a tab safer.
One of the reasons I said best is the extra wt. over the pressed on.See how you are,A mean old boss making employees drag that bulky thing around.I know one powerwasher that puts a short peace of pipe in it and uses hose clamps to hold it on,he said he never had a problem doing that for 2 or 3 years.I called him a dum butt,,,,,but I guess just long as you can peace it back together and it holds you can use anything you want.
I want as less metal showing in my hose as I can get, specially the working end of the hose because the fittings can chip paint or ----------
Jon most powerwasher part suppliers have them or can tell where to get them,Ask Mark.</b></f>

Yeah I like them pressed on. Get a press, most guys’ think they are too much money. You can get a used one that will work fine for about 250.00 after you use it one year if your busy you can pay for it. Just saving me a trip somewhere else is worth 250.00.
This one is big and old but it has worked fine for years.
