Absolutely! Fried turkey is wonderful. You drop that puppy (turkey) into a fryer full of peanut oil and in an hour a 14 lb bird is done, not greasy, and more juicy inside than a roasted one. We don't use the cajun spices becuase the kids don't care for it, but it's great.

Yum!

Mark, all I ever see is this massive fireball and warnings from the fire department how risky it is so I never attempted it. I guess its like anything, it all comes down to the user knowing what he/she is doing. For oven roasting, pat the turkey dry, season with your favorite rub or just salt and pepper and put onions, celery or even apples in the body to keep it moist and watch the temp. I cook to about 155 and let it sit with loose foil for 20-30 minutes. Temp rises to 165 and meat is perfect.

The only way I cook a turkey is deep fry it. Easiest thing in the world and taste better than any other way to me. Inject with your favorite seasoning. Been doing it this way for the past 10 years or so.
