I just replaced my pressure guage on the pump, my question is concerning the reading. I need to adjust my pump to 900psi, is the reading correct when the machine is idle or when the trigger is pulled? Sorry for the dumb question but I havn't used my machine in 10 years so I kinda forgot.

Trigger needs to be pulled to set the machine to the operating pressure. I myself would install a smaller tip to reduce the pressure instead of using the unloader/regulator to regulate it. When you use a tip to regulate pressure, you do not lose your volume of water. However, when you turn down the unloader/regulator, you DO lose volume. It reduces pressure by reducing the flow of water through the tip. Volume does more cleaning than pressure. You still need some pressure, but you will get alot more done in less time with more water.
