I am in a partnership with someone who is not all that keen on spending money that we dont have to. I proposed that we purchase a 24' extension pole thinking that this will make many jobs move alot quicker.....Am i right or is this piece of e quiptment over rated. Does anyone out there have one that is used (but in good condition) that they would be willing to sell if so let me KNow you can e-mail me at Dorsky01@yahoo.com Thanks yall

It all depends on how many 2+ story homes or buildings you do. We use it on taller homes that have steep grades or walkouts, where the peaks are 20+ feet high. Last year we purchased a couple of 8' lances we can couple to our triggers (one single-one double). Using ladders, we can reach the majority of the elevations, and don't use the 24' extension nearly as much. Yes, it's a helpful tool, but it's not all that fun to use for an extended period. I have fairly tough shoulder & arm strength, but it gets very tiring in a short period.

Most likely, you'll use it a bunch at the onset, but will likely start collecting dust before too long. Again, depends on the height of structures you normally do. Good Luck.

I use mine on apartment/condos. It works for gutters and saves me money so I don't have to rent a lift. I use it in conjunction with my x-jet. For just doing houses it would very rarely be used unless the house was large as well.

I have used mine three times...I also then needed serious massaging for weeks. Maybe more about my age than the equipment...however! when you need it...it is priceless...I doubt I will ever need mine again now thas I use my X-jet rip off.

I use a house wand anytime I wash a 2 story house. If you have a bigger machine with a higher gpm & psi it is pretty easy to use. I have no problem controling it or washing with it and never get sore from using it.

We use extension poles for lots of things.....prefer not to use a ladder. They aid in applying chems, rinsing well and staining :)

I have two of them. Both of them are like new. I don't use them for what I do, but I got them with used trailers I bought. Usually if I get a used trailer I get a wand and a big guy surface cleaner. I use the surface cleaners more often than I do the wands, although I am getting quite a little fleet of them.

Extension Wand

I bought an extension wand last year. I used it on a large apartment building and it kicked my butt. I used to two more times later last year and learned to use it not all at once. It really killed me my first time and I sat in my hott tub all night.

For washing houses almost every contractor I've met uses M5 X-jets. They do all their work from the ground with good cleaners and no ladders or extension wands.

does the x0jet use pressure to wash the surfaces or strictly the chemical that you are applying wiht it. I have a 15 foot extension pole for a brush which works well do you think these two pieces would be enough t ocleam highly soiled, areas that are hard to reach???? Thanks for all the replies
