He in the loop and because of the access he gets greasing palms and the lack of local insurance for some. Takes advantage of the situation.

I have said for years that whole deal was a joke. No i don't know him or care too. I really don't need too either. He speaks for himself, with his great prices. :(

Dan S. Call around to different independent agencies, some will shop for you, others won't.

From what I understand most companies are getting out of insuring pressure washers.

Also Mr. Joe as you found out is up in space, he quoted me once but insisted I bring all my business to him to be insured, cars, homes, life, the works.

My reply was you would have to be much lower and keep it low.

Wonder if he pays off all he large companies to stop insuring PW so he can be the only one!

I have been with State Farm for 3yrs now with no problem. For truck, trailer, good liability, and coverage on its storage (my garage) and when I'm traveling is around 80-90 a month. Their are some other coverages but cant remember off hand.

Hope this helps:D

I'll tell you where I got what I consider to be a GREAT deal...

Auto Owners Insurance Company
DORNBUSH INSURANCE AGENCY (underwriter)

I got SEVERAL quotes prior to being referred to these folks and they beat the pants off everyone AND had equal, if not better, coverage. In fact, they cover things that Joe-the-scammer-Walters wouldn't touch, like moving fleet vehicles while on the customer site!

Anyway, call Lori Heemstra and tell her Bryan St.Onge referred you. She can quote you a policy within minutes. Most importantly, she is familiar with our industry/equipment, thus allowing her to provide adequate coverage.

Lori's direct line is 616-662-7686

Dornbush is right in Mr. Gwas' backyard, Hudsonville, MI. Like he said, he has made it possible for all of us to enjoy cheap, yet thorough coverage.

Thanks, Mike.

I sure as heck could be! This weather is absolutely ridiculous! I've got 2 weeks worth of work lined up and I'm sitting in the freakin' house and running a heater in my rig!!!!!

When they say April showers...I assumed they meant RAIN showers, not SNOW showers!!!

I'm covered through Joseph Walters currently, but I've got some concerns over the coverage, especially when I read what you guys write about the price and so forth, so I was curious, does anyone have a good recommendation on where I can study up on insurance lingo and different types of coverage?
I'm a pretty quick learner, but right now, my policy is like greek to me.

CC and C insurance covers the actual surface you are working on. For example, if you damage someones aluminum siding, your insurance will not cover it unless you have care, custody, and control insurance. Your general liablility ins would not cover such a problem..........it only covers freak things that may occur.........not things that go wrong with the actual surface you are working with (you're supposed to be the expert there).

Try doing a search on it, I beileve its been discussed here before.

For anyone that cares...

The insurance policy I have through Auto Owners/Dornbush DOES cover the surfaces I am working on. I don't see on my policy where they call it CC&C, however it was one of the first questions I asked and was told that my policy will cover up to 1 million for the "products" that I am working on. There is a line on my policy to this effect, it just isn't called CC&C. With that being said, this is ALL I am going to say about insurance on this BBS.

Also, I want to mention another thing...I have only been in this industry, "officially" for two weeks (the day I picked up my rig). I've been researching the industry for 4 months via the various PW boards on the Internet and through local companies/suppliers. With regards to the boards, I've noticed something that I find peculiar. There are SEVERAL people that frequent almost all of the different boards, yet this one seems to generate the most hostility. Why is that?

There are differences of opinion on ALL of the boards, ranging in a wide variety of topics, however I haven't noticed as many argumentative threads as I do with this one. Weird!

...and that is MY .02 cents!

It seems that a few create most of the problems. I think most here know who those few are.

It seems some have mice in their pockets when they use the word 'we',I can speak for myself. It seems some $.02 + isn't worth $.01- on this board,"I" want to trast them but "we" all cann't agree. When someone starts running people down it shows how much they are worth,of course this is only my $.02+.
