lots of estimates not many jobs

I have been hit hard lately with people asking for estimates but have been unable to turn many of them into jobs. These seem to be mostly from the internet ad callers. Is everyone going through this as well or am I doing something wrong? Are they planning ahead? Do they have a preconcieved notion that all power washers are equally as good? Maybe Im too high? I do not want to compete with the guys that are using rental machines and dont know what down streaming is, or that do everything under the sun for $100 etc. We do excellent work and cannot be compared to "Those Guys".

I guess what Im asking is... Should I stick to my guns and charge appropriately for our quality? Or lower our prices, swallow our pride and give our services away too low? Lowering our level of quality is simply out of the question.

Stick to your guns.....dont get discouraged. I have people call back 2-3 weeks later to schedule. Be patient.

they are starting to come in now. I think they are doing their homework and comparing and the weather is getting better. The majority are comming back and as always, are happier than they expected to be!

"Patience is a virtue".
You'll be even more excited when these people start referring you to their friends and since you do good work and charge accordingly you'll be better for it because you stuck to what you knew you should charge.

Lowering prices to nail jobs can hurt you with referrals as well because they will also know what you charged.
