Metal Siding Oxidization

Hey Guys,

I have a house next week with powdery white oxidization on the metal siding and the homeowner is wanting to paint after I'm done pressure washing it.

Any suggestions (11 herbs and spices?) for removal of the chalky/powdery substance without scrubbing the siding?

Nice smooth overlapping strokes with the wand. Been years since I did a paint prep so hopefully other guys will chime in with better smarter advice. Cause I know what I just gave you aint much.

I agree with Doug. I did one of those jobs several years ago, and found out that one " solid" pass wasn't quite enough. Once it had dried, the residue was still present, not quite as much, but still there. I also noted that with slower, more steady passes, I could actually see the residue running off until it cleared itself out. It may take a tad longer by going slower, but it'll prevent multiple attempts at removing it. We had a saying back when I raced Late Model Stock cars, slower can be faster. Good luck Mike, let us know how it goes.

Thanks Guys. I also had a couple a jugs (5 gal.) of OneRestore that may due the trick...diluted of course and short dwell time.
