My Website. What do you think

My Website www.cleancounty.com

It was done by a friend of mine last year. He took a few photo's out of my photo book and scan them onto my website. He picked all the colors. Basically he did everything. The reason why I never showed it here was because it was never finished. It still is the exact same as last year. I thought my friend did a decent job since he never made a website before.

We plan on putting my logo that is here on this bb on it and replace that other looking thing. Also plan on adding better photo's and a different write up. Some of the pages have to be fixed and may even change the colors some. I do like these colors because black and red represent my business. Also plan on adding the PWNA logo among other things.

So take a look and tell me what you think and what changes you would make.

Thanks

p/s-you can click on the pictures to get a better and larger look at them.

Thanks Ron and Austin.
I know that a couple of pictures get screwed up when you go into them. One of the many things that will be fixed.

As for that Castle that is a good buddy who owns it and he does real well. ITs twice the size of the Hearst Castle in California at around 110,000 sq '. About the size of my block where I live.

You can view that castle at www.oheka.com to get a better look at it. As for me I don't plan on leaving it on my website. Its just there for now because I couldn't think of anything else to put in its place.

Doug,
I can't really answer that question because I haven't tracked it this year. I Plan on doing some more with it this up coming year and also to keep track of any jobs I got from it.

I'm sure I probably got a few jobs from my website because all my advertising all the way to my estimate sheets and business cards have my web address.

Also it only cost me about $200/yr to have a company Hosts my website and after the write off it comes out to be less. SO its money that is not lost.

Websites are the way of the future and not hard to do(Except for me). Also people Like Beth From See Dirt Run can help you make a professional Website for a few $$$ which once again would me money well spent.

Still Regular Advertising Like local Papers any Yellow pages are the main way to go but through them people can view your work just by clicking on your site. They pretty much go hand in hand.

Doug,
My last residential job was right before Thanksgivivng. It was a deck/clean & seal. A couple of house cleaning jobs was put off for next year. Just to cold to get that kind of wet.

I do Commercial cleaning year round and also have been doing commercial Window cleaning to add a few $$$ to my pockets.

The Beauty of Commercial cleaning at this time of year is for one, steady cash flow and also I decide if it is to cold or not to powerwash for the Month and with X-mas around the corner you know I will be out there pounding the pavement.

Your website...

For a first timer it looks ok. But for a pro business, you need to have a pro website. The better your image, the better off you are when it comes to prospective customers. Check ours out at www.BCJI.com and see what I mean. The guy that did ours is at www.N8Designs.com and it was really cheap, in comparison to what most of those guys charge. Get an estimate, it couldn't hurt.

BCJ:

I couldn't disagree more....the typical homeowner (or business owner) who is checking out your website isn't looking for a professional webpage, they're looking to see what services you offer, whether you're an established, reputable business (and a slick webpage isn't an indicator either way)...they're basically trying to find out who you are. I think John's webpage looks good, and it tells us who he is and what he does in a clear, concise way. I really don't see how your page looks any more professional than his.
