need help quick, pricing picket fencing

a couple of months ago I priced a picket fence 249' x 4' that only needed to be cleaned and sealed. i figured the estimate at $3.00 per linear ft. didn't get that job...yet!

is this in your range for this type service?

i looked at another today 191' x 4'. same thing needed, cleaned and sealed. got to give estimate on that tomorrow with porch, screened in deck and house wash.

for my future needs, suppose you had to strip one, whats your price then?

can anyone give me your ballpark numbers

what product are you using?? If you are using a water seal, you might be ok @ 3 dollars per ft. Is that price for both sides?? if that is both sides, then i think your price is too low. i would be up closer to 4.75. if you are 3 dollars per side, then you should make good money. Now to clarify, my price includes using a quality product, not water seal. if i had to strip the fence and not just clean it, I might raise my price .40 cents if i was using a product at about a low solution. By the way Roy, if you are looking for a great stripper, call Russ at Extreme Solutions and order some HD-80. Just started using it, and works great. And i figure it is costing me 1-3 dollars per gallon.

Not sure about a price on the fence..............but in a situation like that, I always offer them a discount on the house wash. (since they are getting so many things done). I do not offer a discount on the overall job.........I discount that one item. Why? So two years down the road when I re-do the deck, I don't have to do it for cheap..........
