Need Help With Plumbing New Tank

I just got a new 300-gal tank and am having trouble finding a way to plumb it. I konw what I want to do, but can't seem to find the parts. What I want to do:

- 1-1/4 inch drain with shut-off valve on right side

- 3/4 inch feed to machine with shut-off valve on left side.

This seems simple, but Home Depot and Lowes do not have the appropriate parts. I also went to several plumbing supply shops and have struck out as well. The last plumbing supply shop that I visited took a look at my tank and gave me a 1/2 inch sillcock with a hose nipple and plastic nut for the inside of the tank. This seems to work well, except it only gives me a trickle when I open up the vavle. I know that my machine (Mi-T-M 5.6 gpm belt drive) will draw what it needs, but I am having difficulty seeing how it can get enough draw from that setup. I think my hose was part of the problem. It seems to have permanent kinks in it from the way it was bound by the manufacturer.

Does anybody have recommendations on what to do, where to get parts I need, and what type of hose is best?

Thanks for all of your continued assistance. I would be dead in the water without everyone's help!

Brian, Where in PA are you? Larry is right, Tractor Supply Co. will have or can order what you need. There catlaog list 21 stores in PA. So one should be close by. Ask for tank bulk head fittings. They come in various sizes, .75, 1.125, & 2. My local plumping supply has them also, but they are cheaper at TSC.
Brian, call (585-405-5739) or e-mail ddtt2@earthlink. net before you install and maybe I can give you some hints.

Depending on the length of the run
from the tank to your pump, I would
run a minimum of a 3/4" ID hose.

Thank you all for the help. I drove an hour each way last night to get to my nearest TSC. I am in a more urban area, so therer aren't too many in my general location. Anyway, I did find what I needed. They were out of chem hose for my X-Jet, though. I have not been able to find any at Lowes or at Home Depot. I will stop by a plumbing supply store today to get some.

Thanks again........Brian.
