Trying to get the pictures of the new truck to load. What do you think of it. Just like the first one except it's not blue and we now have a generator. When I get a picture of the truck with the trailer I will post them.

Hey Folks, I'd love to see the rig, but it doesn't seem to be working... I get "Page cannot be found"
coming up when I clicked on both of the pictures. I just wanted to let you know... good luck!

Isn't technology wonderful?

Jim and Shirley,

Great looking rig indeed.

How Jim I know you will want to kill me but there is something missing on that rig.

Namely the name SHIRLEY

Jon,

You are right, my name isn't on the truck YET. Jim has offered and we will be putting both our names on the doors this summer, just under the windows. He does let me drive some but since the wreck I don't drive a whole lot even though I wasn't driving at the time of the wreck. I man the look out post for all the idiots out there.

P.S. We like your Oais sign with the palm tree.

Shirley,

I can understand your feelings about being double alert, you sure don't need to have another fool slam into this rig.

Just wondering how far from Marietta, GA you are? Sooner or later I will be there, sort of later since I normally go in Dec.

The Oasis sign was done by Les, he post here once in awhile but mostly on that other board. I know he reads more then post but Bigboy will tell him that I give him credit where due. He does great work too.

Hi Jim,

Nice rig! Got a couple questions for you though. Well maybe more than a couple.
wink.gif

Is the water tank too small to supply the two machines you have? Why not a two man unit rather than two machines? I figure you would have more space to work. Everything seems to be kind of crammed all together. Is that a problem, or was it cheaper to buy two separate units? I like the compact design but would hate to have to do any repairs on the set up. How do you manage? What's the GVW on that truck? Did you have beef it up? Final question. Since the back is totally exposed. Do you store it in a garage for security and protection? Or do you have some sort of covering you place over it?

Sorry for all the questions. I would like to have a similar set up someday.

Washing a truck can be challenging.Every truck in a fleet may require different treatment.Adapt the washing process to the challenges that you are dealing with.

Hey Guys,

Here is the pics of the trailer I told you I would try to post.

Rick,

We thought of getting one machine with 2 wands but with the 2 seperate machines we always have a spare with us. If one goes down in the middle of a job one of us can continue to work while the other tries to fix it and we can buy one spare part and it will fit either machine. Less lost time. The water tank on the truck is just 200 gal. but has been plumbed for 2 machines. We have 2 275 gal tanks on the trailer with a pump to pump the water up to the tank on the truck in places with low water pressure. These tanks can also serve for waste water recovery when needed. As far as how easy it is to work on the machines if needed, we took the truck to our supplier with nothing on it and had the guy that does all our repairs set it up. He loves it. Everything is high enough so you don't hurt your back bending over trying to fix it. The only time he may have a problem and have to take the machines off the truck is if something happens to the coils. Ther is a quiet large space between the 2 machines. GVW of the truck is 12,500 no we didn't have to soup it up. Ford F-350 Powerstroke Diesel. Handles the weight great can't even get enough weight on it to totally level out the bed. Truck is designed to haul trailer over 10,000 lbs. The trailer does have trailer brakes on it. Stopping power is great even with water. We do have covers incase we get caught out and it rains but at home they are under the car port and in the winter it is stored in a warehouse.

Dan

As far as us standing in front, We were too dirty. Just got finished washing 18 trucks and trailer and we didn't have anyone to take the pictures anyway.

We will post one of us soon.

The color came from the factory but we could have gotten them in green but we wanted the yellow. Our signs, business cards and brochures are all in yellow. Kind of gets peoples attention.

I should have posted one of the other pictures then yall could see that all the signs are Reflective yellow. They are great at night. Gets a lot of attention. Looks like they glow when light hits them.

Maybe next time thoses drunks can see us.

Sorry for the long post but it took us 3 years to get this and we are kind of proud of it.

Jim & Shirley,

Again great set up. Like the trailer set up also. Good idea with the two units when one breaks down. I guess if your fleet washing that can save you missing out on some big money. One other question concerning the truck. Did you have to custom order that set up? And if you don't mind. How much did it cost you?

Good luck with it!!!

Hi RICK
Not at all.
Our supplier knew about the wreck, and had the 2-elite machine in stock, we got a good deal on them, and everything else too, because we had to replace Everything, nothing was salvageable except water-hoses the Machines sell for around $5000,00 each.
total Equipment on this truck is $36000,00 we added a few things like 8000 watt generator, bigger tool chest, and steel back box on back of truck, instead of aluminum box FOR BETTER SECURITY,The other Truck was Insured for $32000,00 and should of been for 34000,00
You dont realize how much Investment you have, until you have to start over and buy-it all at once and replace-it,and as you need somthing you know you had you dont miss-it til you need it.We Did not Realize We had This Much Invested.also we carry alot of extras for back-up, we want to have 1 spare motor 1 extra pump, and we will have all that we will ever need in case of emergency, like late at night or on week-ends and holidays, we even held on to my old 1985 F-150 to pull everything just in case.

We are Not Bragging Or Gloating Here.
For 3YRS WE hAVE PUT EVERYTHING RIGHT BACK INTO THE BUSINESS,So we do-not have alot of money yet, we have gave everything up includeing vacations Ect. to have what we have and were proud everthing is now paid for except the truck, and we are now realizing a profit and this is what we have worked so hard for.and yes everything is Fully Insured, fire, theift, vandalisn.

Total cost Is.
TRUCK & Bed $21,900 Good deal through Inter-net
Equipment on Bed of Truck $36000.00
Trailer and Equipment around $6000.00

We did consider a lot of things when planning the set up. The type of jobs we do and places we go. We chose the elite machines because of their reliability and size. When put on the truck we can still get into parking garages, when we checked out some of the other machines it would have been too tall.

Sorry for the long post. If you have anymore questions just ask.

Jim and Shirley,

Indeed a beautiful setup if ever there was one. Makes me jealous indeed.

Jim, one suggestion here, take your fire extinguisher and have the brackets that hold it welded onto a spot that you can get to quickly rather then bungie cord it as you have it now.

Another idea, get one on the truck also and again in a quick to reach spot.

I will take a picture of how mine is when the rain stops, but keep in mind I don't have digital camera so have to take the whole 38 shots before I can post it.

HEY JON.
You are Right, it has only a plastic Bracket that came with it,But it wouldn"t hold up bounceing around on trailer,so i put the strap on, thanks for pointing this out, had all but forgot about it, and your right about when needed dont need to be hard to get too especaily in a fire. the Truck has 2-fire extinguisher on The inside of each door, you also got me thinking again, to get those[fire-extinguisher inside]Stickers.
Thanks for the compliments, just wish we could of posted all pictures together at same time, because most have not seen the trailer we added to this page. once you seen a page everybody probly thinks thats all thats here talking about Truck. WE Are Still Learning.
THANKS AGAIN JON.and Everyone else for their compliments, comments, and any suggestions

Jon,

After your recent experience with fire, I would have bet that you would throw your fire extinguishers out! Just kidding. Good ideas.
