Hey Tony,
Have fun setting up your new rig. I had fun doing mine. I have a 7'x12' Enclose trailer similiar to yours except I don't have that side door. I just put my hot water rig inside and vented it out. I used double wall burner pipe to do this so to keep alot of the heat out of the trailer when unit is running. THis pipe was expensive. A 1ft section cost $60 and the 2 ft section cost $85 along with the chiminey cap it came to over $200.

I did all the hooking up myself and I even built the hose reel stand to hold two hose reels. One reel has 400+ of non marking PW hose and the bottom reel has 150' soon to be more comm. Garden hose on it. I made one mistake here. I made this hose reel stand out of wood(What was I thinking??). Even though its sturdy enough it gets me concerned that down the road it may snap and cause a ton of damage in my trailer. In about a month from now I will make another one out of heavy duty medal and weld it together.

Let me know if you want me to e-mail you a picture of my set up so to give you some idea's. I will eventually post a picture of it here when I have it completely done.

Tony,
I'll try to get a picture of my trailer this week.

My add comes out this week plus I landed a nice size commercial account that has kept me busy the last couple of weeks along with trying to get ready for this coming season. Its been hectic but I love it.

Hey you must have fun putting that rig in the trailer. My Landa weighs about 700lbs and what a pain to get it up and into my trailer. This fork lift came in handy to put it up on the gate but pushing it in was a real pain in the ***

Also if the back of your trailer has a gate that opens downwards like mine does you may want to get some kind of non skid tape or paint on it because if you dont, on a rainy day that gate becomes like an ice skating rink were the wood is reall slippery. I fell a couple of times over the years before I finally smartened up and put non skid tape across the gate.

Another one of those live and learn things which is the only way I seem to learn by....

Nice trailer/unit Tony. Looks like a 7' x 12' or 14' trailer. I have a Haulmark 7' x 14' enclosed w/ swing back doors (no ramp) and side door as well.
Here's what I did to mine, and might suggest as an idea for you --before you setup equipment inside, go to a place that does spray on bed liners (i.e. Rhino Liners - I was quoted $800+) or go to auto parts store and get a do-it-yourself roll-on bed liner and put several coats down on plywood floor and up about 6" onto walls (I did this instead - cost about $150). I also went to rubber specialty warehouse and bought a one-piece 1/4" diamond-plate textured mat to cover entire floor area (cost about $250). I also painted the walls with several coats of white "washable" paint. These ideas serve a couple purposes. With water that you will be carrying (if you plan to put a tank inside) and water flowing thru hoses/machine, chemicals, dirt, etc invariably YOU WILL get a leak/spill/hose burst, dirt, soot inside the trailer. Having protection on floor with bedliner-type material will "waterproof" it a little or at least slow down warping of plywood floor (hopefully). The 1/4" rubber mat adds another layer of protection and keeps me from busting my !@#$% when it gets slippery inside--and IT WILL! Also fluids (oil, gas, cleaning solutions, etc) wont compromise (I hope) the "waterproofing" if there's a spill and dont run all over like they do on the bedliner material because of the diamond-plate texture. Also, if working on my unit, parts dont bounce and run (as far) as on a hard surface. Water and chemicals are easily cleaned up with towels, dirt is just swept out, and so on ... you get idea. Painting the walls with a white "washable" paint helps brighten the interior ALOT during day as well as night w/ interior lights on if working on unit or just to see your way around. Also, if walls get dirty, just wash off or, if too bad, just put another coat of paint on. All equipment inside trailer (power washer, reels, tank, etc) are all connected by industrial-strength (hydraulic) hoses. Went with hydraulic hoses since they seem to have a higher burst strength (my opinion) to REDUCE (not eliminate) the possibility of a burst inside the trailer.
This is what works for me. Just my opinion and a suggestion of ideias for you. I'll try to go get pics and post so you can see how mine is setup.

Good luck,
Tim

hey Tony,

nice looking setup. Are you still working a full-time job?? If so, are you going to try and hire a crew to work for you?? I should have my second rig set up in a week or two, i'll attempt to post pics when done. Mine is going in a 14' box van.

Tim, your trailer setup is awesome, I'd love to get things as nicely setup as yours. Some very good ideas.

My trailer is a 6x12 Cargo Pro. It's got double doors in the rear. I was concerned that there could be times when parking may be tight and not have enough room to comfortably lower use a ramp.

I custom ordered the trailer and I had the floor joists moved in to 16" on center instead of the standard 24, for added floor strength. Factory installed D-rings in the floor are sweet too.

I also bought several cans of aerosol undercoating, and sprayed the underside of the whole trailer. I figured it wouldn't hurt.

I realized today that one roof vent is not enough, and I'll have to add another one. It got pretty hot inside after running for about 20 minutes, even with the back and side doors open. And today was 55 degrees, I can't imagine how hot it will be at 95 degrees. Should I be concerned, and work on an active cooling solution? Right now I'm kind of nervous about running everything unattended, inside the trailer.

The new machine is such a beast compared to my other washers, it's a lot to get used to. Today I bought two nice sized fire extinguishers to have on hand, incase of an emergency fire situation. I mounted one on the inside of the rear doors, and the second one goes in the truck. I hope and pray that I never have to use them.

I like the hard rubber flooring idea, but I have to be able to slide my skid out if need be. I don't have a cherry picker to lift it out. I have access to a forklift, and would have to drag the skid out with a tow strap. Then when it is close enough to the back door do get the blades under, I can lift is out with the forklift. There might be a problem trying to slide over the rubber flooring. My rig is also over 700 pounds, like a hernia waiting to happen.

The washer is too wide to come out the side door.

This rig compliments my other setup, which is a 5x8 enclosed, with two cold water 4 gpm, 3200 psi units. It also houses all my staining equipment.

For now, I'm going to keep each rig separate for certain types of jobs. But I think I'm going to get spoiled on the 5gpm cleaning power, which really is noticable from the 4gpm.

I'm still doing the day job, for about two or three more weeks, and then I'm going transition to full time pressure washing. I'm working on getting a few more contracts signed before I commit to full time. I just landed a small fleet of 15' cube vans to be washed twice a month. If I can get a couple more things going, I will have more confidence to just do it.

I'm fortunate in that I have four really good part time helpers. They each want to work about 15-20 hours per week, and having good, dependable help, is a positive. I can usually schedule things pretty tight, because there are few times when I'm forced to work alone. Ideally, I'd like to be able to have at least one full time worker, someone else who can lead another crew, beside myself.

I would have much prefered a cube van setup over the trailer, but I couldn't find what I'd hoped for in my price range. I'm sure that after hauling a trailer around full time, day after day, I will get sick of it, and go out and get a cube van at some point. At least when that time comes, I will be more financially stable.

Thanks to all for the suggestions offered. It's going to be fun outfitting the rig, and a lot of work too, that I have to squeeze in somewhere.

Hey there guys sounds like everyones got some nice setups!! I also had the inside of mine coated with the truck bed liner 17 inches up the walls and had the whole bottom undercoated the one thing I learned was that you need to have the under coating put on before you start mounting anything other wise they'll spray that stuff over the heads of the bolts and nuts a real big pain when you have to remove them! I put my macines up in the front by the side door and the high pressure hose come out the side and have my hose reels in the centerof the back doors with 2 30 gallon chem tanks on each side and the main water tank behind them. I also run a 15 foot box van which is nice to have for the extra room and height but I would make sure it has a aluminum floor ( no rust , no rot) my first box van had a laminated wood floor and they started to peel up , so the new one has an all aluminum box on it! I'll get a few pics today while I'm out and post them here when I'm done washing later!! uhhh working on easter :( but at least I'll have the yard all to my self with no one to bother me so I can get the job done faster and get home to some good food!!
