New to boards and this industry.

Easy Restore
Hello all,
I wanted to introduce myself and our company to everyone. I am a tub refinisher by trade. I was formerly a VP of HR and found this niche industry but found that the fumes and VOC's from the coatings are causing some health issues. I looked for a wipe on tub refinishing product and found nothing that would work as well as the coatings I was using. I tested dozens of products from acrylics to epoxy's and nothing worked as a wipe on. I was focusing on water based products to try to eliminate the VOC's and go green at the same time. (How does this intersect with powerwashing you may ask??). Well, I found a combination of products that didn't quite work with tubs, but while I was testing it, decided to wipe it on an old Adirondack chair sitting in my garage. The next morning, I thought it didn't dry since it looked wet. Sure enough, it was dry, shiney, and back to the orginal color if not better. My wife suggested I try it on our shutters. I did, and got the same results. It cut through the oxidation and brought them back to life. My neighbors asked if I got new shutters.
We applied for a patent for our mixture and process and just recently were awarded it.
It's been a slow process building a new company from scratch. ( Easy Restore LLC) But the website is up, (Easy Restore Home Page) and sales are coming in. We are still working on upgrading our packaging and trying to determine what works best and is the most user friendly.
I have had several powerwashing companys tell me that this works so well, they don't always have to clean the shutters to make them look new. (although I recommend a good cleaning either way). SO I wanted to join the boards for two reasons. 1. To learn more about your industry and get a better understanding of your processes and potential problems you encounter. and 2. To help provide a product that may help increase the overall dollar amount from each shutter cleaning service you provide to your customers.

Either way, I am glad and honored to be a part of your group.

Ron,
Sorry for the delay. Things are going well. We changed the formulation to a single component wipe on and have a 5 year warranty on it. We have a very large customer using it on automotive parts from Europe that keeps us very busy. We pulled most of the retail hardware locations back and focused on internet sales. We revamped the website, ditched the credit card processing and went with PayPal only. Much less headaches, easier customer tracking, and lower costs overall. We now sell in 4 oz kits, quart kits, and gallon kits for spraying. Check out the new website at Home.
Thanks for thinking about us. Hoping all is well in the powerwashing industry.

Hey Doug,
Yes, we still sell Easy Restore. We changed the formula a while back to be just a single component, so there is less waste. We have several large end users that keep us busy. One is a plastic flooring manufacturer and they use it as a maintenance product. We have an agreement to service a power washing supply company in the spring that is out of Richmond VA that has several locations. So all in all, doing well. Hope all is well with you. Happy Holidays.
