Newspaper ads

Hello !

I run ad in the newspaper, in service directory,so do other 6 pressure wash companies.At this point i need something to make people call me first than others.What kind of ads are you guys running,I need some advices to seperate my add from competitors.Currently i have
All exteriors cleaned
House washing
Deck cleaning and Sealing
Senior discounts
Phone #
Should i ad,we apply hot wax,use hot water or anything of that kind.Competitors adds arent much better besides advertising driveway special for $70 and 2 story home washing for $190,thats why i need something to seperate me from low ballers.What kind of ads are you running??????

What I have noticed is that if there are other ads in the newspaper with yours is that they will probably call all of them looking for the best price. I also notice that if the price is close to the same they will go with the one that will do it the earliest. If you are insured it is always good to put that in there too. I find it better not to put any dollar amount on something because say you would do a 2 story house for $250. To some that might sound like to much and they will never call. On the other hand if they have to call you you get the chance to go do an estimate and if it is still $250 you now get the chance to sell the job. Never try to sound desperate some people can pick up on that. It is hard to say what exactly to do to set yourself apart. You need to offer something your competitors don't. I find out by stating that I am insured helps a lot. I advertise in the paper all summer, two yellow pages, inserts in the newspaper coupon book, fliers, business cards on bulletin boards, and I have an enclosed trailer with my name and number on it that I leave all day sometimes in the hardware stores parking lot. The newspaper seems to work the best. I will also look in the yellow pages for business that nay need my services and write them a letter. I landed a $15,000 brick washing job from doing that. I try to put my name everywhere. I don't worry too much about what others say in their ad. Just remember that when they call you you have to stand out from the others because like I said they are probably going to call everyone listed. I know that is what I do.

Newspaper Adds

I try to keep my add at the bottom of the list. Seems they don't like going through all of them. I do post my price cuts out all the shoppers. Most of the trailers we offer brush wash, since they feel the windows and doors have leaking problems. If they are real dirty have to pressure wash.The old timers really like using the brush. Anna
