Hello,

In the past week or so of trying to get prices for making my own rig versus having someone build one for me I have noticed on constant thing. Everyone throws in a line item of "spare parts to keep you going" for about $150.00. My question is this. I know I should probably have some spare parts and extra thingys, but not having any experience, I am not sure what these thingys consist of.

Could you please let me know what spare parts are commonly carried and what I should prepare myself with by having on my truck.

Thanks again, Mike

Always carry a spare hose or two, gun, extra tips, chemical injector, lances, teflon tape, misc brass fittings, swivels. The worst thing that can happen is having to stop a job and have to leave in search of a repair.

We do not use quick connects anywhere, only swivels and couplers. I have always thought that quick connect were just one more thing to leak and maintain.

I would guess that our SS 3/8 swivels will last about a year or so most of them are rounded off and you need to use a pipe wrench on them that’s how old they are and they still don't leak.
