Outlook express problem

Does anyone know how to remove an unsent file from the outbox in outlook. I've tried the conventional way of deleting it , but it won't let me it just freezes up and says the program is not responding. I think may be the email is to large (135 MB) so maybe this was the cause? The version is for Windows XP any thoughts on this would be great.

Go to your "Outbox" select the item, then select delete.

Disconnect your internet connection so that outlook will stop trying to send the large file. (alternatively, you can go to TOOLS > ACCOUNTS and disable that account) let it sit until the file is open on your desktop then delete it, then before you reconnect (or undo the disable) to the internet go to the delete folder and delete it again.

In the outbox, left click on the email, and hold the button down, drag the email to the trash bin or where ever you want to put it.
