Looking at purchasing a MI-T-M 2008. 16hp Vanguard, 8.0 GPM, 2000 PSI. The unit is used and a freind of a freind is asking $1000.00 for it. Will this unit lack PSI to clean up remodel construction sites???? Need to clean mud and oil, off driveways and concrete walk ways. Also would like to remove any other stains that may have been on these surfaces prior to my construction efforts.
This is just a customer service thing I'm working on. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a Great Price! If it is in good condition.

I assume that this is a cold water unit, the flow and the pressure are fine, but IMHO you need heat also for cleaning concrete.

IMHO????? Are you saying I should hold out and get a hot water unit? I asked a guy at a Seattle store that sells commercial washers and he said I'm looking at $3000.00 min. Can I get a water heater that is seperate from the power unit? Do thay make such a thing?

Hydrotek is a great machine I own a few of them. Buy a trailer unit, they have the best packages out of all the manufactures

I think I would reconsider buying this and then adding a hot box. If you can buy this for $1000 and a hot box for an 8 gallon machine for a minimum of $2400 that is $3400 before any options you may want to add. An 8gpm machine is nice but for what you want to do a 5.5gpm or even a 4gpm will work. You can buy a 5.5gpm hot water machine for around $3500 but if you are not setting up on a trailer with a buffer water tank, I would probably buy the 4gpm machine. Typically, you won't have to worry about the water supply with 4gpm machine.

Also, new machine means warranty.
