SPOKANE, Wash. -- A homeowner’s surveillance video helped Spokane Police catch two suspected thieves taking a pressure washer.
Jason Cooney said he bought a surveillance camera after someone broke out his car window in front of his South Hill home.
Cooney said on Monday evening his wife left the garage door open for a brief moment after she got home.
“I got home around 6:45 and walked into the garage and the pressure washer was missing so I went to my video camera,” said Cooney.
The video shows a man backing an SUV into the driveway, he gets out and opens the tailgate. A woman gets out of the car and crawls
to the rear of the SUV and holds the tailgate open. The man makes his move and comes back with Cooney’s pressure washer.
Cooney provided Spokane Police Investigators with the video. He learned the suspects were in custody by Tuesday evening.

Spokane Police could not release the suspects’ names because they said it is an on-going investigation. Authorities said the two were
arrested on unrelated warrants.
