I'm looking to start a power washer business...but NOT here in North Carolina. I was recently laid off from my tech sales job and my wife and I are looking to move closer to family in the Midwest and start a business.

Is there anyone in the Raleigh area that would consider being a mentor for the PW/ Vent cleaning business?

You can reply to this or hit me with an email at ISU_Meyer@hotmail.com

Thanks,

Chad

well....

I thought there would be someone in the area on this board, but I just (finally, after much searching) found someone that does that type of work here...and he says it's just him and someone else in the Raleigh/Durham area.

That seems kind of odd...do most people just know nothing about this type of work? Or is it just that tough/unpleasant of job that no one wants to do it?

I have to be honest I never thought of this type of work until last week when I stumbled upon it looking at another business.

Do a lot of these chains do their own vent cleaning? Seems that there would be a lot more than 2 groups doing this in an area the size of Raleigh/Durham…even if the one company had several crews.

Thanks for the advice and help in advance.

You will find that alot of franchises will only deal with contractors that can handle national or reigional accounts. I'm working up a bid for eighteen stores in a three state radious. With my resources and equipment my company is capable of such a bid. I started out talking to them about doing eight stores that are over due for service. They basicly told me I could have all eighteen or nothing at all.

Your request was very specific as per your local information. If a question is based on location most don't reply. You can search old questions and responses as to this field-all general questions are welcome.
