Removing Tire Dressing & Armour All

Quick question -

most of the driveways around here have 4 very distinct patches on them where the car tires would be parked (mine included) - I know it's from tire dressing spray on stuff.....any secrets to get it off? Heat doesn't work, neither does pressure.....degreaser - nada.......

:-(

Ideas?

Mainly yes , but there still a "white (dare I say it) shadow)" that is there while the full surface is dry.

This topic has been discussed before, and if memory serves me correct, the problem is caused by silicone.

So something that can remove silicone would be appropriate, perhaps HF or HC acid? Both can be very dangerous though.

I have marks in my drive from 10 years ago, before I realized what was happening. They won't come up.

What you are seeing, by the way, is dry, clean concrete. The silicon penetrates through any dirt and prevents the concrete from getting wet. I have often wondered if doing the whole drive in tire dressing would be a solution.

A-plus is correct. Silicon, one sprayed on unseald cement is their forever.
Dont ever use a cement sealer that has silicon in it.
Jay at V_SEAL can tell you all about this prob.
If you read the lable on the product's you listed, it tell's you not to use over cement.
Concrete re-finnishing is the only way to fix this or get a silicon based sealer and do the whole driveway.
