Hello all. I'm in the process of starting up a pressure washing business. I've been doing research on pressure washers and have decided to go with a trailer mounted unit pushing 8 gpm. My problem is i want to mount the pressure washer/accsesories in the back of my utility van, and have a water tank on a trailer. The dealer told me this is not a good idea because more than likely the water tank and pressure washer would be more than 5 feet away from each other which could make the pressure washer work harder to get the water from the tank. Anybody have any suggestions or tips? Any info on the would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You can go with a pump to pump from tank to
pressure washer, or be sure you have flooded
suction to pump.

Using 2" line from tank to machine, ideally the
tank bottom outlet would be higher than the
pressure washer inlet.:)

We sometimes operate, for remote locations, box truck mounted pW's off a 250gal tank from flatbed trailer. connected with 3/4"(about 15ft linear & 4 ft head above tank) garden hose to direct draw(dont forget the inline filter) connection on pw. We havent experienced any problems, however we always prefer to have a water source as it saves a great deal of hassle. We are running a 5gpm/3500psi & 5.7/4000psi pumps. Neither seem to have a problem with drawing the water from below PW's, provided there are NO AIR LEAKS(youll know if there are).
