What would you guys use on sand faced brick to remove really bad mold and mildew stains without damage. I know pressure needs to be kept very low.

Bleach KILLS mold and algee in a pool. You might try a small spot first, to see if it works.

Hey Washwagon;
a chlorine mix will work, but wet the brick first real good then apply, let it set for about 5 to 15 min , keep the brick wet and use LOW pressure no more than 80 to 100 psi you dont want to "scar" the brick then rinse, rinse, rinse.

I agree with what has been said so far about using bleach. I would go further by saying add some soap to the mixture so it will stick better on the brick. My procedure would be:
Do a test strip first.
Wet the wall to see how fast it dries....if fast do little sections at a time....if not do one whole side
Mixture:
3 gallons bleach at 5.95%
1 quart of Tide liquid detergent
Apply with 20% draw on a downstream
Apply mixture from bottom to top
Let dwell until almost dry no more than 10 minutes
Rinse with low pressure...around 100-200psi...just back off the wall
Use plenty of water to rinse
Reapply mixture if the wall still needs more cleaning...do NOT get tempted to use higher pressure to get it off...you WILL mess up the brick that way.
GOOD LUCK!

Here in NC - a chlorine house wash w/XJet nossle at a good distance does real good! Make sure not to dilute it too much. You need the chemical on the surface. Try to avoid doing it in dsirect sun. It drys the chemical too much. Be sure to thoroughly wet (not real hot water) the ground to protect the plants. Do a section at a time. Rinse REAL Good! Also rinse the ground down after you rinse the brick. It should take about 15 to 20 minutes per section. Wish ya luck!
