Sealing stamped concrete with Seal n Lock

Hey Guys

Been to estimate a job today and the customer wants her driveway sealing. She has stamped concrete which has been painted, she also has a large iron stain from a nearby sprinkler.
Any idea's on the stain?
Could we use acid to remove it and would we then be o.k to seal the same day?
If we use acid, it is going to bring the paint off as well, or at least some of it, s seal n lock now doing a color sealer or has that not come out yet. If not what brand does everybody use?
Sorry for all the questions.

I just did a very similar job to a colored, stamped driveway. The only big difference was that mine had not been previously sealed. I used muriatic on the rust and sealed it the next day, just because it was raining. If the sun was out, and with the help of a leaf blower, I'm sure you could seal it same-day.
Do a test area if you're not sure of the current sealer.
I use Sherwin Williams when they want a colored sealer.
Make sure they get they sprinkler fixed before you head out there, or the stain will just come back.
You'll probably have to acid wash the entire driveway to leave a uniform finish.

That's my 2 cents, but I'm by no means the PWN concrete authority. [drunk]

Spoke to Rich the other day. They have not come out with a colored sealant.

I mix my own colors for colored sealants. I posted some on facebook awhile back...will check and see if I can dig them up.

Where do you get your colors from Carlos and do you mix these with the seal n lock? Yeah, if you can find them on facebook let me know, would be great to see them. We are getting asked a lot about sealing stamped concrete and many of them have either a color wash (possibly mixed in with the concrete when applied) or a colored sealant. Don't like to turn jobs down but we don't really want to use any other brand of sealer.

Davis Colors is the colors that I add to my sealants. I do not mix them with Seal N Lock due to the fact that once you mix the 2 parts of Seal N Lock together, you are limited to the amount of time to apply it. When I am doing color sealants I mix the batch the night before with another sealant brand.

The pic attached is after I applied my color/sealant. The original color was a very light brown/red that the customer had done a few years ago. I have a before pic somewhere on the 3 different computers that I have but can't track it down.

That looks amazing.
We haven't really looked into using any other sealer as you hear so many negative things about them. We love the way seal n lock looks and it is so easy to use.
How long does this sealant you use last and would it ever need to be stripped or can it be re-sealed?

I use Seal N Lock on all my sealant jobs with the exception of my color sealant. Color sealant jobs are few and far between as I do not market that particular service.

If a customers mind is made up to have their color changed then I will "pitch" that service.

You can reseal it or remove it like any other sealant on the market.

Seal n Lock on stamped concrete

We took the job and applied seal n lock to the driveway.
It turned out really good and the customer couldn't be happier.
We didn't need to add any color as the original color had been mixed in with the concrete when the driveway had been laid. When we spoke with the customer she was happy to use a clear sealer over the top of the colored concrete.
