Ok this is not new subject but have searched and did not find what I was looking for.

What type of sprayer do you guys use to spray down concrete sealer?

Hand pump?
Shur-flow
X-Jet
other type of system?

If hand pump what brand and model since I have seen a few brands that have several models.

Happy Holiday's

In lieu of hand pumps..Recently (2-3 months ago)one of my hand pumps went out when I was on an overnight job so I had to get a new one,,I got one of those Black & Decker versa pak power pumpers from Home Depot,, ( I was feeling lazy,, i had a lot to do so I figured I'd try this thing out and take the piece of crap back the following day) Well I now have 4 of them!!

They really work great they run about $90 with a 3 gallon tank,, the batteries don't last real long so you'll need spares they aren't real cheap the gold batteries last better and will set you back $35 for a pair.

I feel the unit is well worth the money and I reccomend um,, they'll save you the time of having to pump and the frustration,, face it pumping them things sux!!

Jon,
I use a 12 volt shur-flo mounted on a hand truck with a 20 gallon tank. Unit cost me @200.00 with out the battery, it uses a 12 volt car battery and lasts a long time. E-mail me and I will tell you where to get it. You can also spray deck sealer with it, but since you mainly do flat work you will just need it for the concrete sealer. What type of sealer are you using and what sort of results are you getting? Hows the mall Santa gig going, any kids peeed on you lap yet???? All you need is the hat and suit and your in business. Well, let me quit before you take me seriously.

Jon,

Hand sprayer

If you get a hand sprayer use nothing but 100% polypropylene. Be careful some sprayers say they are poly and they are just not 100%.
I use a very cheap brand that I buy at a co-op about13.00. The reason is I used to buy the expensive one but my guys constantly loose them. You might get a better model because you will keep tabs on them.

Electric sprayer – shur-flo

Make sure you get the model that’s at least 100psi.
Very important to also get the model that will spray acid-they last longer about 100.00 try a pest control supply- they usually are cheaper than you neighborhood pressure washer supplier. They are 12 volt and can run off your battery. You will need a 25gal chem. Tank and small reel and hose. Not suggesting you use acid this pump just hold up better than the others.

check other prices at the farmer co-op you will be surprised and maybe upset. they even have chemicals

Glenn,
Since my picture does not show my overhang! how in heck are you sooooo sure I have one? Scott must have told you since he knows me!

The only kid(s) that might do that would be grandkids and only have one going on one year next week!

I use V-Seal and for a long time did not push any sealer but since I have been asked a few times and I figure it is income why not start offering it.

Ron I am not out in the boonies like some of you guys in AZ, it is wall to wall cities here in Southern Calif. Farm equipment, there used to be a couple but I think they folded when track homes moved in. There is a John Deere tractor dealer, would they perhaps carry stuff like that, shall call and in morning and find out.

Pest control supply company would be easy to find so shall also call around on them too.

My shur-flo is mounted on my skid but it won't work for this. It puts out 1.4 gpm at 60psi.

Also says not to be used with flamable liquids but I would bet all of them say that.

Yes I would not be so careless about losing things but someday I am sure I will have that problem with hired help.

Thanks guys for the good information. This board gets better all the time.

hey guys how do mount your shur-flo?
did you know that it is best to mount it with the moter up? and the head down.? so if by some chance you get a leak it wont go into your moter ,it will go on the floor. and it works just as good ,no different.
sure saves on the chems. running down and possiably getting into that moter.MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>GREAT WASH
