It has been many years since they opened up Salmon Fishing here in California. Thought I would take advantage of a nice early morning yesterday and try my luck at the old fishing hole before I went out to wash and seal decks. **notice my truck and the rig in the background** :)

Can't describe the feeling I had when I hooked into this male. Best way to illustrate this would be a torpedo slamming into its target....this fish hit my bait with a purpose. At the end, I prevailed the winner.

Freezer is full of Salmon Steaks and fillets.

27 lbs and 39"!!!!

Hey Mark....not sure what the size of line it was. The brand of line was Spider Wire. I used a plain old brass spinner......the only different thing that I did vs. the other fisherman that were there was that I sprayed my spinner with SW1000...[winky] .......just saying LOL

Thanks John....it's already in the freezer. Have salmon steaks and fillets in there. Bettye estimated that I caught over $320.00 worth of salmon based on the cost of 1 lb of it at the store.
