I have a 4000 psi @4gpm cold water machine, I am looking for a turbo tip that will work with this psi that is not so big and bulky. I had the giant turbo nozzle but it was heavy and bulky and it seems the smaller ones are only rated to 3000 psi will the still hold up? thanks

Turbo

Your stuck. I search from hear to high heavan to beat the problems of the heavy turbo. But to no avail, I still use the heavy one. I did my homework on this one "trust me".

Purchase a 3,000 psi 4.0 gpm GP Rotomax

This should be more psi than you will ever need.

These are also rebuildable. Use an inline filter for the turbo nozzle. This will give you more life.

Mark@Easy Clean can get you squared away.

I don't have a chart in front of me, but a turbo rated for 5gpm should give you around 3000 psi on a 4000psi/4gpm machine.

We have used the larger turbos on our water blaster. They seem to really come in to their own at 5,000 psi and above. They hold up Ok. We don't like them at lower pressures because they don't rotate as fast as the smaller uints.

I would do as B.E. Young Sr. suggests, get a smaller turbo and run it till it breaks and then replace or rebuild.

My $.0025 worth :)
