two questions on house washing

I have two questions. I have been doing power washing for quite a few years, and have been doing most of my jobs from the ground the past two (no ladders). Since I am not on a ladder I am having trouble getting gutter streaks out. I Jet-ex the house and gutters with a clorox, detergent mix and let it dwell for 5-10 minutes. I then power wash the house with an extension wand at approximately 3000 psi. I had less or no streaks when I was on a ladder and able brush the gutters from around 6-7 feet. Is there any products for this issue I am having?
My second question is about the little black dots that form on the sides of houses. Where the heck do the come from and how do you get rid of them easily? I read here not too long ago that they were from an algea that came from mulch. I also heard they come from insect matter. Any ideas out there?

I too wash from the ground. I use a 24' extension with a car wash brush to apply Krud Kutter (HD about $5/gal) diluted 1:1 with water. Rinse before it dries.

I guess ANY product that is not supplied by or name mention by the sponsor should be deleted! What is "good for the goose is good for the gander".

so I guess "krud kutter" is a direct violation.

We went over this some time ago. The Owner Dan Flynn said that you could mention a product as long as you dont mention who sells it UNLESS it is being sold by the sponsor. You can also mention how it worked ie. your results >> Just dont mention where you buy it UNLESS it is sold by the sponsor.

I will have to do some "homework" when time allows to find that post.

Unless of course Dan steps in or somebody else finds it first.

Please enjoy the board!

If I had something to gain personally from mentioning either HD or Krud Kutter, then yes, it would be a promo. As it is, its just one pwer trying to help another - which is what this board is all about...RIGHT?

That was the intent of this BB right from the start!

You can mention > ALL PRODUCTS as long as there is no name from where to buy them. Unless it is sold from a sponsor of this BB.

Somebody ( and I know they will ) correct me if im wrong.

Based on my interpretation of the rules, it's ok to say you can get Krud Kutter at HD.

It would be a violation to say you can get Krust Kutter from John Doe at webaddress.com or phone him at phone.number.

Other names for the black dots could be artillery fungus, or shotgun fungus.

Nasty stuff, if that's what you're dealing with.

Just joined PWN have question

How do I get my permission levels raised so I can email other members. Everytime I try and do something I get a message saying I don't have the permission of the Administrator. I do want to be a full member of this forum, do I need to pay membership dues? I think this will be a valuable resource for me in my business. Thanks for allowing me to read all the threads, I would like to learn how to do more.

John,
That is a closed feature on this BBS.As I understand it,it relates back to an incident several years ago when someone abused the PM/emails option.
If someone has an emails addy in their signature area, that pretty much gives you the OK from them to send an email.
