Venting the Exhausts on a RK, Elite, or Tuff unit

Hi all,

I wanted to get some ideas on venting the exhaust systems (burner and engine) out of an enclosed trailer. The odd ball shape of the burner exhuast makes it a little more difficult to work up something. We used to just vent it out the roof vent and open the rear doors but we will be running two hot water rigs in our enclosed unit from now on and I don't want all of the fumes building up inside the trailer.

Thanks for your ideas,

Greg,
We usually make a template of the exhaust at the burner and have the local sheetmetal shop build an adapter to stove pipe. I prefer the double wall pipe so if someone touches it won't burn. Hope this helps.

As for the engine we use a flexible stainless tubing the local muffler shop supplies us. We run it into a automotive type muffle and exit out the side. Its alot quieter.

Whatever you do don't make the stack Smaller in size than the original or you will run into a soot problem. we usually do what Daren said. We make a special peice that goes from the top of the burner to adapt to an oblong stove pipe of equal area. Then we double wall the pipe so no one gets burned. One guy installed a stove hood with a fan in it like you find in a resturaunt. It worked off of the generator along with the burner. When he turned the burner switch on the fan came on too. He also had a light to see inside of his van.
