I think I want to do both commercial and residential as those are my clientele right now. AS far as what type of cleaning I think I am interested in driveways, homes, parking lots, awnings. There are so many different power washers and choices it's almost overwhelming. And it seems (dont take this personal) that some people have a my power washer cost more or is better mentality. It's hard to decipher the BS. From what I have gathered so far a 3000-3500 PSI with a 4-5 gpm seems to be where I want to be. What do you think?

Billy Welcome to The PWN....:)

A 4 to 5 GPM @ 3000 PSI would be a minimum requirement for,
commercial cleaning. The more GPM the faster you clean.
"Volume Is King!"

The most common size machine for the contract cleaner is
5 GPM @ 3000 PSI, if you expect to be doing a lot of flat
work, (sidewalks other flat surfaces, driveways etc) a
surface cleaner is a must.

Check out the Sponsors section for some specials we are
currently offering, don't hesitate to call me personally if I
can be of service.

Welcome! You came to the right place....very little BS here.
4-5 gpm is a great starter machine. I'd recommend a hot machine, as it should be an easy jump for you from windows to house/building washing.
