Heres a picture of mine. you can make it for $10 or less.

All you need is a brass pipe junction, 2 hose barbs, a plug, and a pick up line with strainer.

Works great. I use mine for applying acid as you can tell in the picture. Why pay $150 when acid destroys them so fast anyway?

Good Luck!!!

I have made a couple myself, but have been limited tot he 15-25% uptake rate. X jet gives me much greater uptake. Haven't experienced corrosion of unit (it is SS), but have eroded the heck out of the orifices. I keep a couple of extra on hand.

I dont know my draw rate but i can suck a 5 gallon bucket dry in under 4 minutes with a 5.6 gpm 3200 psi machine. whatever that works out to.

That works out to 22.3%. How would you go about limiting the draw rate? Reduce the hose size, I assume?

I have never tried the X-jet but I don't think I would like that hose hanging off of the end of the wand. When I wash those pnuematic lime trailers I use a separate spray system powered by a Flo Jet pump to pre soak. And if it is hard to reach I just use a couple of 2" hose clamps to fasten the wand to a Home Depot telescoping pole. The wand has a ball valve so I don't have to pull a trigger. I've learned to love the ol' Flo Jet, I use it for many other applications too. Austin

Hydrocloric Acid that is on the Lime trailers. And if anyone knows a better way to clean lime trailers please let me know!!!!!
Hydrocloric is some BADD A** S**t it'll eat you up when the wind blows no matter how much protection you have on!!!

Austin, I like that telescoping pole idea when using a diaphragm pump system!

To limit flow, you could also use the valve from a standard injector. May need a reducer.

Been there done that, I have also tried making my own but plain and simple there is NOTHING like a true x-jet. I know $150 sounds like alot of money as does $3000-$10,000 on a hot water skid But I feel If you wash alot of vinyl houses both are much needed. In no way am looking to offend any one on this board this is just my personal opinion.

we understand, this is mainly for folks like me who rarely use the x-jet so we can have one around without the investment. if you use it daily or even weekly than its worth the 150.

HAHAHAHAHAHAuheHAHAHAHAuheHAHAHA,tellem like it is Chucky, one of those guys just got married as in he said extras cost extra as he should know by now,the extras is where the moneys at if your running speicals. As in what you thought was a speical is costing you money, some give it away free.

Hey Mel,I can understand throwing something together out in the feild but over time I think I would get reed of some dat here weight on the end of ya wand, yel I know, haven't had time,I say that alot too.

You ever messed in trying to drill dat downstreamer,to see ifen it suckmore huh,I don't use the x-jet nomore nor my homemade superjet,I never got around drilling for more suckem, have you..

I've got a real xjet, and an imitator, and for the most part, they are comparable, although the xjet pulls a little more chem.

I have a couple 5 gallon buckets with lids that I mix up my house wash mix in. I always mix it up in the back of the trailer out of sight. Not that I have anything to hide, but some of the ingrediants are over the counter regular stuff, and I'd rather not divulge that to customers. After all, they pay a heck of a lot more than $99, and I don't want them to start thinking they can do the job themselves, or get it done for less.

i dont have the need to exsplain the $99 thing but i will tell you how you can make a good living doing it.
#1 it is hardly ever just a house wash.[thanks bigboy].
Extras cost extra gutters,front walk,patio,garage,deck work,ect...
For the $99 you get your vynal cleaned [single story] and i get your undivided attention to my other services.
Getting the phone to ring is the most important thing.
Also no wasted time doing est.-i know im getting $99.
$99 per hour is not bad pay either.
Hmmmm im a idiot for making $99 an hour[min] and most of it cash.
Cheap equipment and worthless chems? Must be your ass talking because your face must have better sense.
I have the same or better equipment as anyone here.[Dave Olson, not incl.]
I also just told you HOW i can wash a house fast. Dont confuse FAST with crappy work.
Aguy beats you out of a bid to do a large shopping center[flatwork] be cause he can get it done just as well as you but in 1/2 the time and he is an idiot too,i suppose? A guy like Dave Olsen can run a 52inc surface cleaner with his equipment and beat the heck out of anyone with a 27inc.
Dont know where you get off not knowing one thing about me,my rig,or how i wash and call me names , but if that floats your boat then fine.
If your rig was set-up JUST to wash houses and you washed 4 or 5 per day, how fast could you wash them?
The $99 thing is a sales tech. just like sales flyers in your newspaper. It is a proven fact that over 80% of people that shop for a advertised sales special will also buy other items while there.
This is the long version of BIGBOYS reply.
He understands. He's a salesman. That's where you make the money at. Your mouth not the wand. Listen with your ears not your mouth.

well smart guy do this math.

I almost always get the jobs around here over the 99 guy because folks know the work is usally crap. The ones that do go with the 99 guy i dont want as customers anyway because 99 is all they want to spend.

Now i'll break it down for you i get on average 200-250 per house, now for you to make that u would have to do the deck and gutters and drivway as well.

Now lets say i do the gutters ,deck and drive, then i would make 500 off the job while you only have 250....hmmm... whos the salesman now.

Post me a picture of your equipment, i'd like to see it.

You call the 99 being a smart sales man, i call it not knowing a thing about marketing.

I can usally pull in 1000-1500 aday....WHAT U PULLING IN MR.99?

You must be one of these folks with a full time job to pay your bill so your p/w money is just extra.

Well i do it for a living and i can tell u this you go full time with that 99 crap and in a few months you'll be posting your equipment for sale.

If your lucky i'll buy it so you don't starve...lol...haha

If i read bigboys post right i don't think he was defending you or bashing me,he was just posting.
