Hi there this is my 3ird year doing power washing and i am really really really wanting to get it going a bit better, i have always just got by and really want to be able to get enough work so i could acually keep a guy working full time for me.

I am not sure how to get much more work, ive tryed lots, yellow pages, new papers, flyers, telephone pole ads, e-mail strata and it just has not got me very far. I got a website up now and its pretty good i think. Lower Mainland Power Washing, im getting about 5 people on it a day but no one calls me.

I would like to power wash all the public schools in the area but do not know who to contact, please help me get more work or at least an idea of where to go, im tired of only working 3 days a week.

I'm from bc canada, working the the greater vancouver area.

The political setup for school administration will probably differ between where I am and where you are, but the school system might advertise for bids on specialized work like power washing. Our local weekly newspaper has one page dedicated to public notices like that.
Otherwise, they might just want it done in-house by their custodial staff, who may not have the equipment and expertise for it. If there's an as yet unrecognized need for power washing, talking to one custodian at one school could start you on the route to finding out who to ask about it. If they've been having a problem with gum removal, or graffiti removal, and you can offer a solution, that could be a "foot-in-the-door."
Starting at the other end of the ladder, if you make a contact at the school superintendent's office or in the school committee (again, basing this on what I'm familiar with, our local system), you might give them an idea they hadn't thought of before. If it sounds like something that will make the buildings last longer as well as look better, then that might help convince the right people.

I'm just tossing some ideas out there to see if anyone shoots at them . . . ;)

Get online and look up your local city or county school boards but you have to look for there
purchasing dept all bids will be under that dept for city or state or county.
I hope this helps ...OH WAIT here you go for a start... BC Bid

so went to that page and looked around and it looks like i need to regester with them and pay 100 bucks, should i do this, and also i looked at some of the jobs they have listed and there is no power washing up there, so should i just keep watching it and see when there is somthing on it or should i make a call or email to some one on that site.

Randall, thanks you for your answers
