Water in pump oil

I have got water in my pump oil. Im sure this means the seals are gone, but why isnt it leaking water out from between the head the the crankcase? But yet it can still push water into the crankcase? I dont understand that part. Do i have a problem other than the seals? The pressure is kinda low, 4000psi unit, 4gpm only running 2300 psi or so with a 4.5 nozzle. Should be about 3500 i think. I did adjust the engine speed down a little but not too much. Pressure does build up to a little over 4000 psi according to the gauge when the trigger is released and the unloader goes to bypass mode. Please help!?

Sounds like it is time to replace the pump packing,
possibly the unloader also.

I took everything apart and it all looks good, i dont see any broken seals or anything. Even the valves and their o-rings looked great. No cracks that i can find in the plungers. I am thinking that the pump has been wet and got water in it that way. (rained on a few times and i discovered last night that the yellow top of the oil fill cap is just a removeable plastic piece with two holes under it leading into the crankcase) After i drained the oil last time i only took the plug on the side near the bottom out to drain the oil. I realized also last night that there is a plug in the very bottom also. I put everything back together and let the oil drain out from the bottom all night long to get all the oil out. I will then refill with oil and try again. I kind of think it might just have been some contaminated oil mixed with the fresh oil that made it milky. It didnt really seem to be over full. Pressure was a bit low but i had adjusted the engine speed down a few hundred RPMs thinking they were too high. I matched the sound of the engine on the power washer with the sound of the identicle 11hp engine i have on my generator which is powering a 2 pole (3600rpm) generator. The output is normal on the generator so the RPM should actually be a bit too high for the power washer pump. Maybe i slowed it down too much tho who knows, ill put it on a tach and set it right. Was also using a 4.5 tip. The pressure was always a bit low anyways, probably the unloader not set right or something. I will let you guys know what i find out. I hope i lucked out and that its not the pump!

Ok. The oil did not become overfull when i changed the oil. I did however drain the oil from the side, not realizing there was also a bottom drain plug. I have since then drained the oil a second time, removing both plugs and letting it drain all night long. I tipped it this way and that way trying to get ALL the old oil out. Once i put the plugs back in and refilled it with oil, the oil is staying clean. The pressure is still low but I wonder if i have another problem somewhere. The pressure gauge goes OVER 4,000 PSI when the trigger is released and the unloader goes into bypass mode but when i pull the trigger, sometimes it says 3,000 psi on the gauge and sometimes it says 2500. This is with a size 4 nozzle which is correct for a 4000psi 4gpm machine. There are no unusual vibrations in the hose (which i have seen with worn seals in other pumps before) and no leaks. I used a timer and timed 60 seconds while filling a 5 gallon bucket with the gun and it got what seems to be a little over 4 gallons in that 60 second time so it has not lost any volume. I really kinda think that everything is fine and that maybe its the gauge reading wrong, but then again it does show 4000+ when i let up on the trigger so who knows. Anyone got any ideas?
