water/waste removal suggestions

I'm new to this and want to be as professional and thoughtful as I can be to please the client and it's in my nature to do so. I don't think we have any requirements, in New Orleans, mandating water/waste recapture/removal, but would like to hear some suggestions on what to do about all the sediment that is left at the end of the push? I'm running into issues with not having a street drain close enough to wash the dirt - NOT TRASH - down and i end up needing to leave it in the street next to the driveway...this sucks for professional appearances and the beautifully cleaned driveways don't look so beautiful with all this crap in the street.

I've tried getting it up with a flat-head shovel, but this doesn't work too well. thought about a large shop wet-vac, but this probably won't do it either.

I'm sure the answers, I get will consist of, buy a professional removal system but I don't have the funds at this time.

Gene - you can't even let your WATER go down the street to the drains....and that's not a Louisiana thing - it's a Federal one called the Clean Water Act (CWA). There are lots of ways to capture/divert your run-off. I know this doesn't address the dirt you're getting but it may help you to avoid a pretty severe federal fine!

No - RE-READ my response. I absolutely did NOT say that everyone has a recapture/removal system. I said there is a Federal law (Clean Water Act (CWA) | Agriculture | US EPA) against water going into storm sewers. There are multiple methods for redirecting your run-off that is acceptable......which requires nothing more than a berm system that you can purchase or make yourself for $10.

... I was kinda being sarcastic in saying that "everyone has a recapture/removal system". I'm sure they don't. any website suggestions on where I can learn about burms?

so far, I've gotten nothing but approvals from the clients and referrals. I'm a pretty contientious person and have been in another business for over 10 years, so I have built up some ethical and client oriented skills.

any suggestions are greatly appreciated. the chemicals are still frustrating me... seems that nothing is working as I would expect it to.
