4sale?

Dan .............

Been in the game for 26 years now, ouch! Time to go fishing. We do about 1.3m a year with my cut being aprox. a very hard woked and lots of hours 400k or so. Have a crew of 12 or so, running 8 to 9 trucks a day, Mon. through Sat. We do xhaust cln, fltrs, belts and make-up air. Own our shop and eqp. And so, I know full well about the value or not so much value of good will, also am aware of the limited market per a bigger price tag, but is it still possible to find a buyer at a fair price? In various BS sessions with others in the industry, I'm told nice pay check but no buyers in my league, i.e. too Mom & Pop like, too much of my personal input in making it work. Also, big drawback, I don't want to carry any paper unless on the property.
In a nutshell, what say you? Any comments much appreciated.

Thanks,

Larrys

I would say at 1.3 million, I would expect you to fetch anywhere from $300k to $500k depending on your bottom line and how you have your customers set up for return services. If you are pulling down $400k a year, but doing a lot of the work, you would need to find someone willing to work that hard but most guys that want to buy a business aren't doing it so they can work more, its so they can make more money. Otherwise you are going to have to factor the cost of somebody running it in to the price of the sale.
