Who Should Get This BBS

I was involved in administrating bulletin boards well before my tenure as a PWNA Board Member began, and I probably will be involved with them for years after it ends............I see no conflict of interest. Actually, I think it is a postive thing that as a board member I am basically in the public eye...........I think that helps more then it harms.

I too would like to see Mark get it,he's been here 24/7 and is nice in hes replys,always trying to help.It doesn't matter who gets it they will have their own rules,which should be understood.

I wonder if anybody ever reads a post right,sames they only read though it.I'm the only one that made a stand when I said I was leaving the other boards,they haven't even seen me lurking b/c I do not go there.When this board goes to a new owner they will be a few P'd and not post here nomore..o will.

Dan S you have NEVER gotten under my skin and never will b/c I read between the lines in all post plus each line one at a time.Steal my wife kick my dog black my eye and I will laugh at ya,I will also push you to the point your real personality will show.NO one will ever walk over me or out do me when it comes to saleing or making a point.Like I have said over and over if I want your business I'll take it like a bloodhound on a cold tail I'll get the job done,never the less I'm a peaceful man.

My plans after the voting is decided I'll move on,may come back just to rub someones head.AS for the ones on the list I do not have to say what I think b/c most everybody knows the ones running and which ones would stab you in the back.

Guess I should have stayed in the running and poured sugar all over everybody just to get their vote,I have been known to do dat.

If I owned a board every Tom,Dick and Harry would not push their stuff on it unless they went though me first.These boards are meant to help you learn the trade not where to buy stuff or who from.Let the wholesalers do their own saleing and we may get a better price in the long run.Alot of the pro's do not post on the boards nomore,it's mostly want-A-bee's and part timers,every time a pro trys helping a Want-A-bee or part timer says he is wrong or doesn't know what he is talking about or is better then him.Could this be the reason alot of damage is done in the powerwashing trade.The few years I've been on the boards I have not learned nothing,my rig still looks the same,I still wash the same way and do not cry for business.I have tho learned alot about each and everyone one of you,even washermans personality is better than alot of the others even tho alot of his post does not show it,he knows how to bring you out in the open and fairly smart about it.He has tryed several times to get under my skin,so for he hasn't been able to do it.It could be the reason I say ya'll easy,it doesn't take much stirring to get some of you hot under the brain...I think its funny.

If I was Dan Flynn, why would I even consider "donating" the BBS which I have built from thin air and made it into something substantial as it is today. Why would he even consider donating it to a person who controls and runs a competitive site - in direct opposition to his! Or why donate it to another person who has ulterior motives and grandiose plans to sell websites, etc. to the rest of the community.
I voted for Dave Olsen, who declined - so I feel the best vote is a vote for BIGBOY, a man with no axe to grind, out to help everyone, regardless. I've read his posts as long as I can remember and he's a genuine man of the people, for the people, and a great American, too.

My vote goes to Mike Hughes. I have known Mike for a number of years. He is very committed to the business and to the authanticity of these boards. He will do a great job!

Even though I voted for Beth I didn't think Mike Hughes would've been as interested to own this bb since he does so much for us through other bb's and the PWNA. He also would be a GREAT choice to own this bb which is reflected in the above POLL with Him and Beth so far ahead of the others.

As for Dan F. just giving away this bb...I doubt it. The name "MONEY" is going to talk soon. I just hope it goes to someone who shows that they are committed to making this board matter and allowing the "FREEDOM OF INFORMATION" to flow through it........This is where MIKE and BETH have excelled at far and above all others.

What on earth makes you think what you do about the way I would handle it? Let's look at the facts. Dan F. already has paid advertising on this BBS. He's got banners in rotation. So that wouldn't be new, right? Steve R. has a BBS and sells products, so that wouldn't be new either, right? So why is it, if you don't mind my asking, that you seem to feel that I would do nothing but advertise on the BBS?

I advertise on BBS's that allow me to. I also share knowledge on those same BBS's. Yes, I would have this BBS as a part of the Grime Scene. But the store and the area for marketng is on another area of the site.

Looks like Dan Flynn either picked everyone's brains for idea's or is doing his best to get the price high as possible, like a bidding war.

Notice the banners now, notice most of us that want (ed) the board stopped posting in this section, I came back for one reason and that is to say I and others feel is really happening.

If that was not the intention then why allow all the post in the first place?

A poll perhaps to give him a better idea but with no posting allowed.

Each person has his own idea's as to what and how they would run the board and once it is their's who cares what happens.

It would be up to the new owner to promote it and keep it going.

I just wish this was closed, locked or removed and Dan does what has to be done.

Mike PWI is a good board, I know you are proud to have it. Just keep it that way, what do you need this one for? Two of the same boards for what?
Beth, Other than advertising and trying to make another buck, what do you need it for? If either one of you is going to get it, then just wait and see. This pissing contest of who gets the last word is one of the reasons that Dan is ditching it.
Dan is not a fan of Ron M, so does anyone think that he will give the board to the guy that took over Ron's board. Does not matter if it is Mike or the Stay Puff Marshmallow MAN. IT is almost like giving the board to Ron himself.
Beth, you had some words with Dan over this site and he does not want it associated with PWI. So you are in the same boat as Mike, because you are closer to Ron than Dan likes.
So I still say that Mark is the winner. Unless of course, SUNBRITE comes out of the closet and spends some cash. Hey Sunbrite here is the picture that you got deleted from PWNA. Lets see if you have some edit power here too.

Like I said,I think Dan should keep it,this is the reason I pulled out.I cann't take nothing from anybody that I think should keep it nomatter what ever it is they are trying to give me.I either buy my own or do without,I do not want nothing given to me,I'm just that way.Yeah I could kick myself several times over the years but being a stupid nut I had rather give it to you.

Jon I think you nailed it with the above quote. Dan F. is no dummy. Just about anyone that would own this bb would have some kind of agenda may it be to make a few bucks off it or maybe to make sure that no one ever makes a few bucks off it.

Who knows but if one doesn't have some kind of agenda then just to own it for the sake of owning it to me makes no sense. Unless there is some unknown loyalty factor going on here most likely the one who has the highest offer will probably get an excellent chance of ownership. I also think that no one will be excluded when Money is involved.

I've been wrong in the past and I could easily be wrong here but I would be shocked if Dan F. just gives this bb away..unless of course there is no real interest in anyone buying it because it is so cheap to start another one.( I doubt this because of the data base)

We can only wait and see. I find this interesting. ITs like a Chess game. I hope this thread stays open all the way to when Dan F. finally makes his decision. $$$

Make another buck Alan? You should know me better than to think that's all I'm about. I've helped you before.

So what if I build web sites and advertise them? In the slow months it's smart for me to do it. So what if I post on PWI in the vendor's area? So do others....

But I have also helped my share of people and answered alot of questions, not just here but on several BBS's. I have been known to spend an hour on the phone, easily - on one call.

p.s. I'm not stupid either... I realize that the odds of Dan giving the BBS away are slim, much less to certain people, me included. But you know, it's a smart thread. His traffic is up and so is his membership. So have fun with it. That's what it should be about. Fun and education.

Are any of the people on this list ever willing to turn this into a PAY SITE or "must have a membership to PWNA" OR AT LEAST PROVIDE A SECTION FOR PAY/MEMBERS ONLY.
I think it may be time to take the bbs up a step.
I was new once,there is plenty of posts of how to keep your wash unit from freezing. Maybe a more professional bbs that has real professional contractors and mfg. of equipment and chems,supplies.
Some of the best comments from professionals in the mfg. end are are the Dave's site. I love it when Micheal [epps]and john allison get into it. You learn a lot.

I said long long long time ago it should be a paid site,I even told Ron his should be a paid site.It would keep every Tom,Dick and Jane from lurking,only thing is you will have a few pro's and someone like me that will not pay to get in b/c we do not need the help.Altho it would be more of help than a free site b/c the pro's would be more open to your Q'tions as how to and where.Also you would have a better profile of people that really wants to learn and not every lowballer and cut ya adams apple want-A-bee lurking the boards.These are learning boards and if you went to school to learn you would have to pay IF you wanted to learn it bad enough to make it in the business when starting out new.Have also said some of the pro's should be paid for their time spent helping control the board,the teachers get paid to teach you in a school nomatter where you go.It would keep out trouble makers like me and the guy that just wants to get by while drawing his food stamps.I also think if a pro has over 10 years in the trade he should be let in free but not paid for his time helping.

Atleast you would know you where helping somebody learn a trade not every Joe Blow that wanted to make a few extra bucks.

I'm like a wild cat,FREE and do not want to be tied down to nothing right now,so my helping is slowly coming to a end on the board.I sure do not want anybody biting their tongue off or make them have a bad hair day with my post but I have loved pushing several of you to that point hahahha.I think all of you are ok in my book even old dummy Ron M..............C-ya
