Why do old threads show up in the "View New Posts"?

Why is it that posts that have not been replied to in two weeks are showing up in the "View new Posts" list?
The board seems to bring up old ones to stimulate interest.

Old Threads show up in "View New Posts" when there has been a new reply.

Someone found the Old Post and replied to it.

Way I understand it is if another thread has something to do with the thread your reading it will show up in the view new post area nomatter how new or old it is.

Mark your looking for simple answers to answer today I see,thats my line .

Thats the problem, nobody replied to the old post, it just keeps coming up. Again and again and again and ...

Are you referring to the Thread "Power Wash Equipment / Survey"?

If so the explanation could (maybe ) be that every time someone votes on it it shows up as a New reply?? / New post??

Maybe Dan Flynn can offer a better answer?
