How about doing a little searching? A can remember some very recent and detailed threads that dealt with the very questions you are asking.

window washers like to get around 45 to 100 bucks an hour. Not all do, nor do many all the time but...that may help some. the problem is that many try and start there. There is only one way to properly clean windows and that is with a strip washer, razor blades and a squeegee. I know many on here have other opinions but, according to ANY glass association, that is the way. so, then the need arises to price by the pane to keep some sort of average going.

If you tell me how you plan on cleaning your windows and what all you want to provide service wise, ie screens, tracks etc. Then I can be of more help.

If on the other hand, you plan on washing the houshe, the rinsing the winodws with DI water and maybe do some detail work with a rag...you will have to check with the guys on here who focus their attention on that.

For the average Joe homeowner, the last method will suffice.

I charge 1.75 per pane of glass per side on ground floor windows and 2.50 per pane per side on any window that I have to get on a ladder. Screens and inserts are an extra 1.75 each. As far as what kind of chemical to use, I've never needed anything other than dawn dish detergent and a bucket of water.

$5 per pane for in/out, $4 for screens to be scrubbed with soap and water and put back. Tracks and mirrors done for free most times. This should get you near the ballpark, although in my area I am considered high by some. I do great work and have a good rep.

In my market area, residential glass is 3 to 4 times more profitable. Commercial glass goes for about $0.65 per pane. A good commercial glass crew can still average $50.00 per man hour, but compared to residential where the same crew can average $100 to $150 an hour.

We charge $10 per regular window, this price includes tracks & screens. Any very large windows or enclosed lanai's, like we carried out today, we charge $15 - $20 due to the extra time spent.
Some people think is a little expensive, but when we are finished, they usually rebook and tip us. There are always people out there doing a job on the cheap, when will customers learn it doesn't usually pay to go for the cheapest job.

Probably never. Good points, thanks for posting. By the way I use to live in Naples. Beautiful area. I workd for a family owned furniture electronics store called Blocker Furniture.

Window washing price depends on different factors like size , type, level etc. Pricing commercial work is somewhat different. Typically a for each window price will be lower than residential work. If you clean the outside glass only then the price will be different. How dirty the glass is, what is the access to the glass like, any obstacles to make cleaning difficult, any stains or hard water spots to remove are also affects on price estimation.
