HD80 is awesome - its my ace in the hole This stuff will strip any stain or sealant. Always neutralize with an acid and give the wood a heavy dose of the brightner. Be Carefull - HD80 not to inhale or get on your skin or anything else you do not want strip.

never mind it won't let me post it but the two main ingrediants are petroleum naphtha(67%) and n-Methyl Pyrrolidone(15%).

thanks chuck, that co is about 1 1/2 from me. They make paints that wont grow mold,they also have it in packets to add to other paints. I wonder if it would work in stain?
Home Depot sells their paints, i would'nt paint a bathroom or pool house without it.
naptha is used to thin heavy duty paints and the patrolum part is prob. a thickiner. I will have to look into the other chem.

Hi Ron,

They make additives for stain too...

StayClean I/E is a Milewcide additive that can be added to any oil based finish (I would have to check on water based) and CPF 2D is an insecticide that can be added to stains.

If your in a humid area I would definately add the StayClean I/E (interior/exterior) as added insurance.
