It's time for some new hose reels !

Looking for some suggestions on where to get good quality at a good price.

Are there any particular features I should look for?

HP,
Mine is a Rapid Reel and it has done a fine job for me for the last two years. I had to replace the O-ring in the swivel one time but that was a ten-minute job and it works perfectly again. It's on a 3000psi/5gpm hot water machine.

I have Reel Quiks and Some other brand that E-spec sells. I prefer the reel quiks. They are of better quality and don't fall apart. I also wrap the hose on backward so that I don't use the swivel. It has its advantages.

I am partial to Coxreels and Reel Quick / Rapid Reels,
we sell both lines and have had good reports on both.

There are other good ones out there but I prefer these.

I like when they come up in the post. I prefer the hannays also. These are fine reels and probably priced well. most of the major brands are all about the same.

On Ron's post, the one in the top picture is sweeeeeeet. I think its a Hannay. If I had money to burn, I'd love to replace mine with those.

Where to Buy in NY ?

Thanks for the advice. I've been doing some research on the Hannay and Cox reels on the web and it seems like they can only be mail ordered.

I'd really like to get my hands on them and actually test them out and see the quality before ordering.

Anyone in the New York area know where there might be a store or showroom with reels on display?

<font color=e87400>Hey HP,

Call some pesticide companies in your area and find out if they have a local equipmet vendor. There are companies that specialize in building those rigs and selling em the stuff. It's a good chance that they will have a decent inventory of some really nice reels. I deal with one such vendor in my area and they always have 10 or 15 misc typse of reels.

PS that top Reel that Ron posted there will only set ya back only about $500

Check your local phone book / Yellow pages for : hose reels, pressure cleaning equipment, steam cleaning equipment.

You could also contact the manufacturer and ask where you might find a stocking dealer.

For that much why not just by an electric one and forget about reeling in the hose?

Just so you know those reels that are at the top of my post are marks reels. I was just posting them so they came up on the page without clicking on a link. They are various types cox and reel quick. They are all not there and if you had clicked on his link you would have known that.

These are the reels I use and they are hannay . They cost about 187.00 to 287.00 depends on where you buy them.
