Dan,

Can you explain that one a little deeper? Where in the program would you want memory retention? What verbage is it that you use so often that saving typing time by auto entry becomes useful? Let me know and I can do some homework on it for you.

Douglas,

Let me answer these item by item so you know where we are and where we are going,

In general almost all of these questions deal with inventory, so let me fill you in on how the inventory segment of our program came about. As you probably have figured out our applications are built to be flexible enough to fulfill the needs of many vertical markets, and we generally tackle 1 to 3 new industries (markets) every quarter or two. For the first 2 quarters of 2002, we decided to concentrate full on three vertical markets. The pressure washing industry ( and all of it's subsidiararies, duct, gutter, exhaust, fire maintenance) window washing, and the pool and spa maintenance. Due to mostly the pool and spa guys we started developing the inventory management module that is now in our ServiceCEO program. It is a basic inventory system, that we plan on adding much more to over the course of the next quarter or two. We do have discounted pricing for those who are willing to be beta-testers for our inventory system, there are responsibilities that come with the program of course but it pays to be one as you get to be a significant voice in how we build the features you are seeking.

That being said here is where we are currently with your wish list.

Inventory Questions
Inventory stock points set automaically with manual over-ride possible

Currently we do have this option available in our system with desired stock levels and actual stock levels.

Track stock and non-stock inventory

We do currently have the ability to have non-stock inventory drop-shipped directly to a customer site as opposed to a warehouse or company location. I think this is what you are asking but if not let me know and I will look into it further for you.

Track Lost Sales

This is coming in our quoting and estimating reports due out by the end of this quarter.

Ability to add comments to inventory items.

Not quite sure what you are asking for here, clarify a little more and I will address it for you.

Create PO's automatically, based on supplier

PO creation is very easy to create as well as track history, notes, back orders and status as stands right now.

Change PO's manually

See above

Ability to track Back orders

See above

Multiple suppliers for the same part, w/ ability to cross-reference suppliers part numbers and my part number.

There is the ability to have multiple suppliers supplying the same part with the ability to track both the suppliers part number ( including past part numbers when they have changes ) as well as your own internal part number

Multiple warehouse locations (service trucks) for inventory

Like the Ragu commercial says "it's in there"

Transfer stock between warehouses ( Service Trucks)

"It's in there"

Multiple classes of inventory such as
1. Fire extinguishers and parts
2. Fire Alarm Parts
3. Pipe and pipe fittings
4. Sprinkler Parts
5. Emergency lighting parts
6. Exhaust sytem parts and supplies

This is one thing I would definitely need more clarification on, and might be a good reason to get in on the beta-testing of as this is exactly the kind of input we seek on building the best possible solution.

Ability to filter inventory reports to supplier, classes of inventory, warehouse locations (service trucks), movement of parts, cost of inventory

Reports for any functionality always come last after all the functionality and data fields are set. Once the beta-testing of inventory is complete, we build the reports and then officially release the complete module. As it stands right now our basic inventory system has been tested and released with limited reporting functionality.

Hope this answers your questions, if you have any more please feel free to call or post here on this board.
