Ok, here's the inside of the 5x8 with 2 of the cold rigs inside, but it's a little messy.

Just thought I would add that you don't have to have the biggest and baddest to do some work.

We use this little guy in some of our commercial kitchens.

Dave , How do you use that cold water cat for commercial kitchens? Do you use there hot water?
Do you have a hot water (kit) installed in the pump? Man theres no way we could use a cold water pump for the stuff we clean.
Must be using it for rinsing the hoods after ya blow them out or do you use a pump sprayer to apply the chemical first? I have tried all the above mentioned methods and you cant beat float tanked hot water machine with a good raw chemical.

Hello mtngoat,

Several large kitchen systems that we do are to far away to be able to use our truck mounted equipment.

We use a diaphram pump to apply (duct spinner in long runs) and hook up to the kitchens hot water. The Cat pump is rated for 190 degrees, 1500 psi, 2.2 gpm. Needs a 20 amp breaker (sometimes hard to find).

We use a Potassium Hydroxide based degreaser.

Mtngoat,

You are new at this, so here are a couple of questions for you, regarding your comments to David. How would your company clean an exhaust system in a restaurant on the 30th floor of a downtown building in broad daylight? How would you clean restaurants inside foodcourts smack in the middle of shopping centers, over 500 ft inside the center. Keep in mid no kerosene/diesel burners are permitted indoors( health & fire codes). To make it simple, in both scenarios, ducts go straight up.

Well mmmmm Not many 30 story buildings in my neck of the woods .There are a few. Simply dont have the need for such a set up. But if I did I,m shure I could figure it out.
Only problem I could forsee is if the exhuast ducts are tied into some of the other out going exhaust fan systems that are not related to the hood systems. How can you avoid them? Im running out of room respond to my E mail mtngoat167@yahoo.com look forward to hearing from you.

Well mmmmmmmmm . We dont have many 30 story buildings around here .Most are free standing we do have the ocassional mall. Simply was curious as to how you guys are doing the high rises. Makes sense to use small portable cold water machine.(there hot water) Only problem I could see is not getting water into the outgoing air ducts .I say this because alot of the places I see around here have more than the hood system venting through them. What about a propane fired cleaner they use them inside alot of the larger buildings to do the floors. Or are we back to cant have that kind of equipment..
500 foot of vertical duct that sounds like alot of access panels and alot of misssed build up. So how does one clean 500 feet of vertical duct and do it properly ? mtngoat I know hire a midget and lower him on a string. What ya think? lol

Nice new equipment!

Me like eeeee!! lol My only question was how do you use a cold water machine to clean those nasty long ducts that are not accessible by your regular equipment. That question was adequitley answered by Tidy Power Wash (Dave Olson)
Do you like the tuff brand of equipment? I hear its reasonably priced and reliable.Do you have 12 volt system or 115 volt generator on that rig? please respond to my e mail at mtngoat167@yahoo.com thanx mtngoat
