Picking Your Brain...

This isn't my line of work, I charged $100 to do it, and it took me 15-minutes to remove. Am I in the ballpark?

I included what the city does to remedy the problem. I'm going to make a flyer and pass it around to the local businesses to see if I can capitalize on it.

Any suggestions, Fee wise or any other input?

Thanks,
Robert...

i would say from a consumer standpoint it was worth the money you charged,if they attempted to do it themselves, they would be looking at $60 rental from home depot and countless hours figuring out how to remove the graffitti properly and time spent returning the machine.

it only took you 15 minutes beause you are a proffessional and thats what you do.

if you can perform that job in 15 minutes,i would say it would fall within a service charge category and $75-$100 is a fair charge for a service call.

in recollection of "What should I charge?" by sir author Cody i would have to add this would be a fair price if they called you and said go ahead and do the job, however if you had to come out, look at the job,fax in a proposal, and come back another day to do the job then i would have to say the price might be a little low.

keep in mind this is based on my demographics, overhead, etc which is on the opposite ends of the spectrum from where your located.
very good pics.

Robert,
Looks great. I have never really chased graffit removal myself.

That price certainly sounds fair based on your results.

I don't know what your approach is but, paint that has cured for a while can be very difficult to remove.

There is nothing better than having a specialty(nich).

Thanks for the replies...

I would have to agree that being called out, then having to go back and fax in my bid would kick up the price.

I carry my laptop and my printer with me so I can do everything right there. The customers seem to like that. (I use my regular home printer that I plug into my lighter, using an AC adapter that I got at Costco, 2 for $14. Can't beat the price)

If you notice, in the background are the houses that I clean after they are done, so I have an "in" right there. This is the contractor I sub for, so as soon as they, taggers, hit, they call me. The graffiti sat probably 48-hours before I removed it.

Thanks for the comments.
