Placemats

Recieved a call from a local advertising agency today
regarding putting my ad on placemats for local bars and restaurants, has anyone ever used this form of advertising before with any results? 1 or 2 are pretty well to do, while the other 3 or 4 are your everday kinda place. Thought it might be a pretty good idea because i catch myself reading them.

Sure.......you have read them........I have read them..........but have either one of us ever actually wrote down someone's name off of one? Probably not.

It is just an opinion, but I do not see this as an effective means to market our type of business.

Mike, If your like me, A do-it yourselfer most ads don't mean anything to us. But for those people that don't do anything for themselves weather they have more money than ambition or whatever. This may interest them.

Just wondering what money has to do with it?

Most of us here are self starters, why we are in business for ourselves.

Placemats, this silly things people stick on our vehicle windows, ( I simply push them off)phone cover ads etc. to me are a waste of money.

I never call those businesses, when I need someone like a plumber or electrician etc. I either know of one, know people who have had good luck or go to the yellow pages and look for small ads. Why small your asking, because like TV, the bigger the ad the more they charge and it does not mean they are better.

Why waste money on things that do not product more money?

That is my opinion only.
