How hard and expencive would it be to build your own water recycling system? If you don't want to post on the board, please e-mail me.

You saw one and it went thru your mind. Just an electric motor, Hayward pumps, canisters and plumbing. I thought the same things; I will build my next one, priced things out at about half. Also upgraded a few things. Don’t know the laws on patented items. I do know the company I bought mine from copied another brand; people always think it’s a different brand. Check Harrington plastics catalog they have every part you will need, except the generator.

Speaking of reclaim systems, anyone ever heard of sand filters?

Anyone using them as the filter to recycle their water?

Comments welcome.

They use them in the big ones at trucking companies. I posted a picture of one on this board some time ago.

Hi Wizard,

I was thinking one more in line of about 300 pounds should do just fine.

By the way, what is the cost of that monster?
How much does it weigh etc.?

Where would I mount that thing in my trailer, I would need another trailer and for that I need a class 1 license, towing doubles like the big boys.....

That one does 15 to 20 gallons per min. Way too big for you. $15,000 to $20,000.
Look at this one called the Little Sucker.

The "Little Sucker" is not bad, saw it demo'ed but the price is high once you get a generator and air compressor.

Yes I would truly consider one if he price was lower for the total setup.
