Removing Putty from concrete

Does anyone have any experience removing butyl putty from concrete. I am looking at a factory floor (indoors) that has years, and i mean years of flattened putty. It's almost impossible to even scrape off. I was thinking maybe wetting it down and trying some different chemicals to see if it loosens it enough for the surface cleaner and hot water to remove it.

Thanks for any replys.

Nate

and no, I didn't agree to take the job as off yet ;)

Larrys right. Thats about all ya can do. Use at least 200 degree hot with turbo nozzle and plenty of time. Have a helper so that he may scape behind you and then when all finished, use your surface cleaner to go over it again. Thats about all ya can do.....

Find out more about the make up of the putty, call manufacturer of the stuff and find out what chemical they recomend that will remove the stuff. I think you'll be there forever with only hot water & a spinner myself.

Thanks Guys

I will have to purchase a turbo, never had a need for one untill now. I will go with the 200 deg., I have 4000psi so I will see how long it takes to remove it and see if it's worth my time.

Dan I'm pretty close to York. A few hours from State Col., we will have to hook up sometime.

Thanks Guys!!
