ron p/long post sorry
i did say "add on" which means more money.
It is just one more thing that i can do for my customer, that most LOWBALLERS cant or wont do.
This PW biz has got a lot more to do with catching customers at your price, then the act. cleaning.
When i go sell a job at my price, i leave a info sheet with my quote.
on that info sheet i list what i think should be done to the whole property.
Then i quote on basic house wash-gutters inside and/or outside[mike i now charge extra for the inside]- flatwork other then the front steps and short walk-fence-deck-roof-shed-over size garage apply sil-o-wet paint prep
then all the stuff the customer needs to do as in
make sure all windows and doors are tightly shut, water is turned on,dog is inside,no cars in driveway, and that payment is due on completion of job.
I then have sep. est. worksheets for wood resto. that exsplain's in detail what products i use and an est. of time the job will be completed.
"Phone est. can very by as much as 20%" and on site est cost $10 refundable with any cleaning job. Free est. if my card was given to you from a customer.
$100 min. on any job other then truck washing.
Bigboy your wax will burn off in a short time. SIL-O-WET is supposed to last 2 years.
I wish i had the balls to shoot some on a polished alum body and see how long it would last.
Mike do you know of any other long lasting product that has mildew retardents in it?
I rather sell a house wash job at $200 and add $50 for the wax job, then wash it twice a year at $100. It is also like putting RAIN-X on the windows.
I also sell it as an add-on to retard mildew growth on cement and brick.
All i ask of my potential customer is that if they are getting est., that they should compare apples to apples, not apples to road apples.[meaning un-insured lowballers]
I dont need to wash the same house over and over because there friends, family, neibours will be calling me. one house wash or deck job and my 20 trucks is all i need a week.
I am getting a reg. paycheck with benifits and pro-wash gets between $700 and $1000 per week. no real selling and i do est. during my reg. job.
if i quit, when i get hitched, and apply myself to just washing im sure i could tripple that pro-wash number. I turn down trucks daily.
I see that allmost all other PW in my area are breaking the law and hooking up to fire hydrents.
I will have to do the same to compete.
